The denizens of this fun house meets David Lynch BBQ joint settle in with their libations. The clock strikes 9 and the big screen drops down. Conquest of the Planet of the Apes begins warming the room. After a half hour, Grape Juice Plus take to the tiny bar side stage. the movies sound fades out, Bennett hits record on the tiny tascam sitting on the bar, and Grape Juice Plus sets to improvising the score for the rest of the film...

Born out of a series of Monday morning sessions, both musicians were looking be pushed to new areas of their improvisational sand boxes. Bennett, a fixture of Chicago’s free rock dating back to the classic band, MiLkBabY. Klotz, emerging from the world of jazz and fusion. Well, they found some new sand. this one populated by apes on horseback.
